  • First view of Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar.

  • Drive to Darchen, base camp of Kailash Parikrama.
  • Prepare for trek.
  • Start of Kailash Parikrama (circumambulation).

  • Overnight in basic lodge or tent.
  • Trek over Dolma La Pass (5,645 m) - the highest point.
  • See Gauri Kund on descent.
  • Toughest day of the trek.

  • Return journey begins.
  • Cross back into Nepal.
  • Drive to Kathmandu.
  • Buffer/rest day.
